»Blue Departure« är Peder af Ugglas femte soloalbum och med det befäster han sin position som en av de mest intressanta och egensinniga musikerna och kompositörerna av idag. Hans instrumentalmusik rör sig sömlöst mellan blues, country, rock, jazz och svensk folkton.

Peders slidegitarr är fortfarande hans främsta signum, men på »Blue Departure« spelar han även piano, orgel, bas, trummor och slagverk. På en del spår han får han hjälp bland annat av sina Yonder-kollegor Mats Qwarfordt och Mats Persson.

Förutom solokarriären och medverkan i Yonder, har Peder af Ugglas ett gediget CV som musiker och producent. Bland andra har han spelat med Louise Hoffsten, Tore Berger, Mats Ronander och många fler.
